A SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) panel is the physical or virtual interface (HMI) in a broader system that lets operators monitor, control, and manage industrial processes in real-time — showing live data like temperatures, pressures, and flow rates via graphics, charts, and alarms, allowing for remote oversight and adjustments to connected machinery like pumps and valves. How it works: field devices (sensors, PLCs/RTUs) collect data from equipment; data is sent over a network to a central SCADA server; SCADA software processes and displays this information on the HMI panel; operators view the HMI to monitor status and issue commands, which are sent back to the field devices. Vital in utilities (water, power), manufacturing, oil & gas, and transportation for managing vast, remote, or complex operations efficiently and safely.
