AMF Panel
Auto Mains Failure panel — switches load to a backup generator during an outage and back again.
An AMF (Auto Mains Failure) panel is an electrical control system that automatically switches a building's power from the main utility supply to a backup generator during an outage, and then switches back when mains power returns, ensuring continuous operation and preventing data loss or disruption in critical places like hospitals, data centers, and industries. It monitors the mains, starts the generator, transfers the load, and safely shuts down the generator after a cooling period. Key functions: continuous mains monitoring; automatic start/stop of the generator with a set cooling-down period; load transfer between mains and generator; safety interlocks preventing simultaneous connection of both sources. Common uses: hospitals (critical for life support), data centers (preventing data loss), manufacturing plants, commercial buildings & malls, and telecommunications.
